Waffle Knit Cotton Spandex

Our light to medium weight, super soft waffle knit is the perfect fabric for transitioning your wardrobe into autumn. It's light enough to wear alone as a dress or T-shirt but also heavy enough to work for layering pieces like cardigans. The delicate waffle texture adds interest to even the simplest of garments.

Not just for grown ups, this fabric is comfortable and breathable enough to use on your little ones too. How cute would a little pair of joggers be or a little onesie?

Asos and Net-A-Porter are stocked with lots of expensive waffle knit goodies this season, so we have stocked 9 of the most on trend colours for autumn / winter 2020 to ensure you are still like... SEW stylish but without the hefty price tag.

Our lovely facebook group member, Jayne volunteered to sew up a sample for us. Check out these amazing shorts she made for her son with a combo of Wild Boar Fabric and the amazing HK themed 852 fabrics.

Jayne says "The waffle knit is so soft, which is always my son's primary concern. I was really pleased with how easy it is to work with as well. Not as slippery as some stretch fabrics can be and with some loft to it that prevented any issues with tension. Can't wait to see the colours it will come in!"

Personally, I have been dreaming of a Blackwood cardigan since placing the order for this, I never even imagined a pair of shorts! The creativity of the sewing community never ceases to amaze me!

Here are some patterns I think this fabric will work well for.

I think I might NEED a pair of Hudson pants in maybe grey or the dark green. Theres lots more pattern suggestions over on our dedicated waffle knit patterns Pinterest board.

Happy sewing!
